Kiki
Luthringshausen
is the owner and chief designer of K~HAUS, which she founded in
1996. At that time, Luthringshausen specialized in providing
high-end interior design services for Chicago-area clients. In the
summer of 2005, she expanded her business and launched her first
retail boutique, K~HAUS, in trendy north suburban Lincolnshire, Ill.
A suburban Chicago native, Luthringshausen studied art history in
Florence and worked in the New York fashion industry before
returning to her roots in the Midwest. Her background in art and
fashion gives her a unique eye for style and trends, as well as the
interplay of colors and textures.
Luthringshausen’s
talents and capabilities aren’t limited to interior design. She
selects the merchandise and works directly with vendors to create an
extraordinary showroom for customers. She also custom designs
furniture, coordinates design aspects of construction and remodeling
projects through L Gruppe, a K~HAUS sister company. In August of
2006, she launched her online store at: www.k-haus.com and a
live message board to answer customers’ design questions.
Luthringshausen’s
design expertise has been tapped by clients across the country,
including Chicago, New York, Deer Valley and Hilton Head Island, to
name a few. Her work has been featured in numerous national
publications like USA Today and Home Décor Buyer, as well as
regional publications such as Chicago magazine and North Shore
magazine. She frequently appears as a design expert on local
Chicago television news including WLS, WBBM, WMAQ and WGN. She also
allowed HGTV’s “New Spaces” to chronicle her most personal design
project – the 1,000 square foot expansion of her home, which
focused an a locker/mud/laundry room complete
with a dog shower.
Luthringshausen
resides in Kildeer, Ill., with her husband and four children. In her
free time, she enjoys entertaining and cooking for family and
friends.

is also Kiki's husband. Vincent originally grew up in Europe.
After working in the financial industry for many years, he
has become involved with K-HAUS, concentrating on General
Management, HR, Marketing, and Finance. Fluent in French and

aspects of K-HAUS, including billing, accounting, and order
tracking. Prior to this, Kathy worked as Financial Analyst

Kathy paints (oil and water color), sings, acts, and gardens.

Leo Romano, Master Carpenter, has
been a premier wood worker for over thirty years. His work
has ranged from end tables to large-scale custom cabinetry,
armoires, tables, and bookcases. Kiki and Leo have been collaborating
on projects since 1999.
Lori Young
joined the K-Haus team in December of 2006 as a part-time
associate assisting with the retail store and on the design
team. She has become a full-time member of the team and is
now responsible for running the day to day operations of the
store as well as continuing to assist Kiki in design as
needed. She has worked in various retail settings
throughout her life and has a strong passion for both design
and retail and has thoroughly enjoyed combining these
passions in her position with K-Haus.
Karen Luthringshausen, Sales Associate,
is also Kiki's mother. Karen has several years of experience
in the Retail Industry, notably in merchandising and buying,
most recently at the Good Shepherd Hospital Gift Store. Karen
not only serves our retail customers, but also plays an important
