Kiki
Luthringshausen started her interior design business in
1996. Kiki’s background was in Art History at DePaul
University where she studied abroad in Florence, Italy. Upon
returning from Italy, she moved to New York and worked for a
small couture fashion house working in every aspect of each
collection. Returning home from New York to be closer to her
family, she decided to blend her knowledge of art, fashion
and interiors. It is then she realized her potential and
started to pave her own path of creating beautiful spaces
for private clients. Her love of textiles and textures has
grown to be her signature style along with pairing
unexpected elements for each space. Kiki is self taught but
has studied drafting and CAD and brings a fresh perspective
to any set of architectural plans. Her love of architecture
and interiors is clear in her passion for each project. Her
mission is to create a balance of modern and traditional
resulting in timeless design.
Several years ago, Kiki began working as a featured design
expert for local TV networks. Her segments showcased design
trends and how to create stylish spaces on your own. Her
work has been featured in both regional and national
publications. Kiki also began writing as a design expert and
had a featured article in the Chicago Daily Herald during
2008. In 2004, Kiki’s own personal renovation of her home
was an episode of New Spaces on HGTV.
Kiki
lives in the Northwest suburbs with her husband Vincent and
their four children, Lauren, Hudson, Lucie and Thibault. She
loves to cook and entertain for her family. She is also an
Executive Board member on the Associate Board for Common
Threads.
